Services

The equipment is half of it. The rest is listening carefully, designing for the room, and setting everything up so it sounds at home the way it did in the session.

CH—01 / What we do

Five services, one appointment at a time.

Each service can stand alone, and most projects use several. Pricing is quoted in writing for your project before any work is scheduled.

  1. Listening appointments

Private, unhurried sessions with your own music. We compare at matched levels, change one thing at a time and keep notes, so you can decide later with a clear head.

    • Includes
    • Your own music
    • Level-matched comparisons
    • Written summary afterward
  2. Room-specific system design

We start from your room’s size, layout and use (music, film or both) and design a system that fits it, including where each piece goes and how it connects.

    • Includes
    • Room questionnaire
    • Layout and placement plan
    • Options at more than one budget
  3. Setup & calibration

Loudspeaker placement, toe-in and listening position; subwoofer integration; turntable alignment; distance, level and crossover settings for cinema.

    • Includes
    • In-room measurement
    • Placement by ear and microphone
    • Turntable alignment
    • Cinema calibration
  4. Installation coordination

When a system needs wall mounting, in-wall loudspeakers or new cable runs, we coordinate the work with your electrician or installer and stay involved through final setup.

    • Includes
    • Scope notes for trades
    • Scheduling with your installer
    • Final setup after the work
  5. Trade-up consultation

Already own good equipment? We listen to what you have first, and suggest changes only where they make an audible difference in your room.

    • Includes
    • Review of your current system
    • What to keep
    • A step-by-step upgrade path

CH—02 / Placement

An inch is audible.

Small moves change bass, imaging and tone more than most upgrades do. Setup is where a system becomes yours, so we never hand it over unfinished.

Loudspeakers
Distance from walls, toe-in and height, adjusted with a microphone and confirmed by ear.
Subwoofers
Position first, then crossover, phase and level, then room correction if it still needs help.
Turntables
Leveled, isolated and aligned, with tracking force set and checked.

CH—03 / The session

From first email to final settings.

This is the full arc of a project. Many stop after the written summary, and that is fine with us.

  1. T—00

    Inquiry

You send a short request: the room, what you listen to, and a few days that suit you.

  2. T—01

    Room questions

We reply with questions about the space: size, floor, seating and what you already own.

  3. T—02

    The listening

A private session with your own music, comparing at matched levels, one change at a time.

  4. T—03

    Written summary

What you heard, what we would suggest and why. It is yours to keep whether or not you buy.

  5. T—04

    Delivery & coordination

We schedule delivery and coordinate any installation work with your trades.

  6. T—05

    Setup & calibration

Placement, measurement and settings, in your room, with everything explained.

  7. T—06

    Follow-up

A check-in once you’ve lived with the system for a while, with adjustments if anything needs it.

CH—04 / Start

Start with a short email.

Tell us about the room and the music. We’ll reply with a few questions and some times that work.
